Job Summary
The job of Attendance Assistant is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process by ensuring accurate attendance accounting within the District; resolving attendance related issues; ensuring compliance with state reporting and documenting requirements; conveying attendance related information to appropriate parties; and providing general clerical support, information and direction as may be assigned at assigned school site. Current Vacancy is at Sanger High School (Spanish bilingual preferred) – 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Requirements / Qualifications
SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process will include screening to ensure application is complete and applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include online Written exam via e-Skill from June 12-14, 2026 and Performance exam from June 20-22, 2026 for all qualified applicants. Passing score is 70% on each exam. An eligibility list will be established and the top three ranks of candidates from the list will receive a departmental interview as positions become vacant. Candidates will remain on the list for one year. All examinations are based on the job description for the position. Job descriptions are available on the District website, Personnel Commission, or Human Resources. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of general clerical or record keeping experience or 1 year of the same experience in a school office has been found to be a minimum requirement for successful job performance. Relevant experience, education, certificates and/or licenses may be substituted.
