Job Summary
Organizes, supervises, and participates in kitchen activities at a school or central kitchen providing extended services to other locations. Supervises food preparation and cooks meals in large quantities, working from and adapting pre-planned menus. Orders and maintains an inventory of food items. Maintains food service records in compliance with state and federal requirements. Full job description is attached.

DETAILS: Current Vacancy at Sanger High School - 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SELECTION PROCESS: All applications will be screened and evaluated to ensure application is complete, certifications are attached, and applicants meet minimum qualifications. The process will include two oral panel exams scheduled for June 24, 2026; a Leadership panel and a Technical panel. A passing score of 70% is required on each exam. Those candidates achieving an overall passing score of 70% or higher will be placed on an eligibility list to receive a departmental interview. The Eligibility List is good for one year. All exams are based on the job description for the position. Job descriptions are available on the District website, Personnel Commission, or Human Resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in institutional cooking in an education or equivalent setting.
