Role Summary
SANDY'S operates a chain of convenience retail stores across Pennsylvania. We are your everyday shop for fresh grab-and-go selections, snacks, beverages, coffee, PA lottery, Skills games, and fuel services.
We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Food Program Manager to take full ownership of our in‑store food and prepared foods program across a small chain of convenience stores. This role is ideal for a confident, autonomous food professional who thrives in building, revamping, and scaling programs with clear accountability for profitability.
You will be responsible for modernizing our current food offering, launching and managing third‑party delivery platforms (DoorDash and/or Uber Eats), developing creative marketing strategies, and owning the financial performance of the program end‑to‑end.
This position will be Monday - Friday, with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Strategy
- Redesign and elevate the current food program, including menu development, product mix, pricing, and operational standards.
- Act as the subject‑matter expert for all food‑related decisions across the organization.
- Establish scalable systems and processes suitable for a growing convenience store chain.
Delivery & Digital Expansion
- Lead setup, launch, and ongoing management of DoorDash and/or Uber Eats partnerships.
- Optimize menus, pricing, photos, descriptions, and promotions on delivery platforms.
- Monitor performance metrics and continuously improve off‑premise sales.
Financial Management & Profitability
- Fully own food program costing, margins, and profit performance.
- Track food cost, waste, labor impact, and vendor pricing.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability without compromising quality.
Marketing & Sales Growth
- Create and execute marketing initiatives to drive in‑store and online food sales.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership on promotions, limited‑time offers, and seasonal concepts.
- Use data and customer feedback to refine offerings and increase repeat business.
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance across all locations.
- Develop training materials and operating procedures for store‑level teams.
- Partner with store leadership to maintain consistent execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience managing or building a food service program (QSR, convenience, grocery, or multi‑unit food concept preferred).
- Demonstrated success owning P&L, food costing, and margin optimization.
- Experience working with third‑party delivery platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar).
- Strong understanding of food operations, sourcing, and vendor management.
- Self‑directed and confident decision‑maker with minimal need for oversight.
- Comfortable moving between strategy and hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
