Position Overview:
We are seeking an educator who feels aligned with the heart of our work; someone who sees early childhood education as more than a job, but as meaningful, purpose driven work. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum inspired by children's interests and curiosities
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports independence, collaboration and self-expression
- Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning to guide planning and communicate growth to families
- Partner with co-teachers and administrators to create a cohesive and positive school culture
- Build strong, respectful relationships with families through consistent and open communication
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and uphold Sandy Hill's commitment to safety and high-quality care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 ECE units required; AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Experience working with preschool aged children in a play-based or Reggio-inspired setting
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and positive guidance strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
