STARTING SALARY: $14.50 - $18.00/Hour
STATUS: Seasonal (non-benefitted, 6 months or less, part-time)
DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Program and Aquatics Coordinator, instructs tennis classes for youth and adults.
Tennis Instructor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a minimum of one year experience in tennis instruction or playing tennis. As per city regulations, must be 15 years of age to apply. Knowledge of tennis, team
building, and ability to be self-motivating; proper English usage, spelling, and vocabulary. Great responsibility for the care, condition and use of facilities, materials, equipment, tools, etc.; great
responsibility for making decisions affecting the activities of participants. Good communication skills; contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and to handle complaints; frequent
contacts involving the carrying out of the program; ability to communicate effectively with all age groups. Use of tennis equipment, and occasional use of a telephone. Ability to follow written and
verbal instruction.
Work schedule will be arranged with the employer.
