What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - District-wide position at Sandwich Public Schools?
Description:
- Duties in general building maintenance, including but not limited to: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and specifically a strong background in HVAC repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to use a computerized maintenance management system.
Candidates must possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current/valid MA Driver's License.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, grounds equipment and facilities maintenance techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform all functions of the job requiring independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving.
- Ability to work with computers/technology, lift 50 lbs, be comfortable in confined spaces and work in all weather conditions, be comfortable traversing across campus.
- Must have the physical mobility and stamina to perform all duties required.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
