Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), PRN

Sandstone Estates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled and supportive rehabilitation team. If you’re passionate about helping others regain strength and mobility in a post-acute or long-term care setting, we’d love to meet you.

Position Summary

The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, individualized care. You’ll play a critical role in helping residents improve their physical function, mobility, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment sessions as outlined in the care plan, including strength and mobility training, gait and balance work, transfer training, and therapeutic modalities.
• Monitor and report resident progress, reactions, and needs to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Ensure treatments align with state regulations, payer guidelines, and departmental policies.
• Assist with developing, adjusting, and coordinating therapy schedules in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of treatments and outcomes in accordance with facility standards.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensure: Current Arizona state licensure as a PTA.
• Certifications: CPR certification and Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required.
