Job Overview
The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort is looking for a warm, energetic Front Desk Agent to join our team on the afternoon shift. As the welcoming face of the resort, you'll be the first point of contact for arriving guests, callers, and team members—setting the tone for a memorable stay from the moment guests walk through our doors. The afternoon shift is the heart of our day, covering peak check-in hours, guest questions, and the steady rhythm of a busy resort. Shift: Afternoon (approximate hours to be confirmed; includes peak check-in period)
Duties
- Greet arriving guests warmly and professionally, manage check-ins, and direct visitors appropriately
- Operate a multi-line phone system to handle reservations and guest inquiries efficiently and courteously
- Manage room assignments, handle the check-in/check-out flow, and coordinate guest requests
- Process payments, manage the front desk cash drawer, and maintain accurate guest records
- Respond to guest questions about the resort, amenities, local attractions, and the Panama City Beach area with a friendly, can-do attitude
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to resolve guest needs promptly
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and shift reporting
- Support general front office tasks such as supply organization, mail and package handling, and document filing
Requirements
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong computer skills; experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy, guest-facing environment
- Strong phone etiquette and comfort managing a multi-line phone system
- Bilingual abilities are a plus and help us serve our diverse guests
- Friendly, professional demeanor with genuine enthusiasm for guest service
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize during busy check-in periods
- Reliable availability for afternoon/evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Cash-handling experience is a plus
