Design Engineer

Sandis is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our growing team in Santa Cruz, CA. Our ideal candidate has experience with civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including stormwater drainage programs and AutoCAD. Cool Stuff you get to do:

• Aid in all technical aspects of projects and assignments
• Assist with developing improvement plans including rough/finish grading, stormwater management, and utility plans
• Conduct engineering assessments
• Prepare technical engineering reports for internal review
• Coordinate with private, public, and governmental agencies
• Design of domestic and fire water systems 
• Assist with material estimates as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 years of relevant experience
• EIT Certification Preferred 
• Familiar with AutoCAD
• Familiarity and understanding of rough and finish grading plans
• Knowledge of utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and water distribution.
