Electrical Instructor

• Provides Electrical instruction utilizing curriculum provided by NCCER. 

• Maintains attendance, grades, and performance records.
• Sets up and proctors online testing.
• Prepares instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and mediums.
• Monitoring electrical supply inventory and notifying administrative staff of purchasing needs.
• Maintaining a safe and clean electrical shop space. 
• Familiarizes themselves with the Continuing Education Instructor Guide. 
• Meets with Director periodically to discuss class schedules, course outline, student progress, special needs, and required materials such as texts and disks.
• Returns completed roster to director at end of class with signatures from students and instructor.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician. 
• Must be willing to attend NCCER instructor qualification training (successful completion of qualification required prior to being assigned as instructor) 
• Knowledge and understanding of Electrical Safety and the National Electrical Code (NEC) 
• Knowledge of Residential, Commercial, and/or Industrial standards and best practices 
• Computer experience required and teaching experience a plus.
• NCCER certified trainer preferred but not required.
