We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender, with a strong preference for candidates with sommelier certification, to enhance our beverage service and contribute to our tradition of excellence.

Job Description:

As a Bartender at Burnt Pine Country Club, you will be an essential part of our memorable experience, mixing and serving beverages to our members and their guests. This position demands a deep knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology, along with a passion for delivering exceptional service. A sommelier certification is highly preferred not required, as this role will also involve curating wine selections and providing expert recommendations to elevate our members' dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for members and guests while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and following all club policies.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections including pairing advice for meals.
• Manage the bar area, ensuring it is kept clean, well-stocked, and inviting.
• Conduct inventory control and management, including ordering supplies as needed.
• Develop and update the beverage menu, incorporating seasonal or special event selections.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
• Cultivate relationships with members, enhancing their overall club experience.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with the latest trends in beverages and customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods during the shift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
• Capable of reaching, bending, and stooping to retrieve items.
• Dexterity to handle glasses, bottles, and other bar equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bartender in a fine dining or upscale environment.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits.
• Sommelier certification is highly preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must meet the legal age requirement for handling alcohol in the state.
