IT Programmer Analyst

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Overview
Responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining new and existing software solutions and integrations that support plant operations and business processes. This role spans programming, database and data integration work, and user support, ensuring reliable data flow between legacy platforms (such as AS/400) and modern cloud and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications, APIs, and automation services using Node.js, ASP.NET Core/C#, React, and related frameworks to meet documented business requirements.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data models; integrate with AS/400 (IBM i) and DB2 to synchronize data between legacy and modern systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with PI Historian or similar industrial time-series databases, SCADA/process monitoring systems, RFID, scale/weighing equipment, and environmental monitoring solutions for emissions and compliance reporting.
• Implement and maintain services that leverage Microsoft Graph API, Azure AD authentication, SendGrid (or similar), and document imaging systems (such as EBE) to streamline workflows and communications.
• Handle user technical support cases via phone, email, and ticketing systems, including diagnosing multi-system issues and assisting users with hardware, software, and access problems.
• Configure and maintain core IT components as needed, including user setups (intranet/access), file servers, and basic network equipment to support application and integration reliability..

General Skills:

• Databases & data integration: SQL Server development and performance tuning; DB2 SQL; AS/400 connectivity; PI Historian or equivalent; design of data synchronization and ETI—style integrations between heterogeneous systems.
• Programming & frameworks: PHP, Python, JavaScript, C , C#, SQL, DB2 plus modern usage of Node.js, React, and ASP.NET Core/C# for web APIs, services, and frontends; familiarity with Windows services and automation scripts.
• Industrial & enterprise systems: Experience with SCADA/process monitoring, RFID, weighing equipment, environmental monitoring, and document imaging, along with basic understanding of LAN/WAN, AD/DHCP/DNS, systems security, patch management, and antivirus.
• Cloud & identity: Microsoft Graph API, Azure AD authentication and authorization, and third-party email services such as SendGrid for application notifications and integrations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong troubleshooting ability for complex multi-system issues across legacy and modern stacks, including under time pressure.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solutions and to communicate effectively with non-technical users.
• Self-directed, able to work with minimal documentation, follow instructions where available, and collaborate as a team player with IT and operations staff.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Approximately 5 or more years of programming experience, ideally including exposure to both industrial/operational technology and enterprise IT environments.
• Must meet standard employment requirements such as pre-employment screening and valid identification, as defined by company policy.
