Swift Textile Metalizing (STM) is seeking a Site Controller responsible for managing financial analysis and accounting operations, including preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and overseeing the processing of financial transactions.

This role is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive system of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of financial reporting, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The Site Controller prepares consolidated financial results for management reporting and serves as a key financial partner to operational leadership.

The Site Controller reports directly to the Vice President & General Manager.


Swift Textile Metalizing develops advanced conductive and metallized fabrics used across aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory/Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and within established deadlines.
  • Oversee the monthly accounting close process, with support from the shared services accounting team, including analytical review of operating results to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Refine, maintain, and develop recommendations to ensure the integrity of the standard cost system, including analysis and reporting on:
    • Material costs and labor/overhead rates
    • Standard costs vs. actual manufacturing costs
    • Cost of sales, cost trends, and drivers of cost fluctuations
    • Purchase price variance (PPV) and manufacturing variances
    • Labor efficiency dashboards by value stream
    • Excess and obsolete inventory
    • Scrap rates, returns, manufacturing expenses, and depreciation
  • Analyze profit and loss statements and manufacturing variance reports to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop value stream income statements to support operational decision-making.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through coordination of cycle counts, annual physical inventory, WIP reviews, and reserve analysis.
  • Manage capital projects and forecast related cash flow impacts.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of the annual operating budget and periodic forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
  • Prepare and review a full set of financial statements, providing recommendations to improve business operations based on financial analysis.
  • Support the annual external audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Review accruals and provisions on a periodic basis.
  • Lead account reconciliations for auxiliary and subsidiary accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide interpretation of financial reports and analytical findings.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Master’s degree or CPA preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of accounting experience
  • Minimum 5 years as a facility Controller or equivalent role
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in aerospace and/or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience with Government Contracting and FAR/TINA requirements is a plus


Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and automated financial reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory standards
  • Understanding of economic and banking processes
  • Demonstrated ability to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and implement process improvements
  • Experience developing financial controls, reporting structures, and operational performance metrics

Salary : $140,419 - $169,311
