Manufacturing Engineer 1

Rubbercraft is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I who supports the development and improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This entry-level role assists in implementing best practices, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations. The position provides hands-on experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives under guidance from senior engineers. We take pride in craftsmanship, collaboration, and a culture built on innovation and reliability.Job Responsibilities: Process Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining work instructions, manufacturing routers, and related documentation.Continuous Improvement: Support Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives to reduce waste and improve workflow.Troubleshooting: Help identify and resolve basic process and product issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers.Tooling Support: Contribute to the design and maintenance of simple fixtures and jigs under supervision.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Design Engineering and Operations to ensure manufacturability of products.New Product Support: Participate in new product introduction activities, including basic process setup and testing.Training Assistance: Provide technical support to production teams and assist in training on updated processes.Compliance: Follow ITAR regulations and company standards for safety and quality.Job Specifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline). Experience: 0–2 years of relevant manufacturing or engineering experience (internships or co-op experience preferred).
