Micro-Tronics is seeking a CNC Machinist II – Mills to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components, primarily for aerospace and related industries.
This position requires strong experience with setups, blueprint reading, and inspection, along with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain consistent quality in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce parts per blueprints and specifications
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T to ensure accurate machining
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.)
- Monitor machining processes and make adjustments for tool wear, offsets, and quality control
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support process improvements
- Record production data, including setup/run times and part quantities
- Maintain accurate documentation (job routers, inspection records, tracking systems)
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating properly
- Deburr, clean, and package finished parts
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (5S standards)
- Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances
Qualifications
- 3 years of CNC machining experience, including setups
- 4 years of overall precision machining experience preferred
- Strong experience with CNC milling (multi-axis preferred)
- Working knowledge of G & M code, tool offsets, and machining fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.)
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls; experience with HAAS, Doosan, or Brother machines is a plus
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM is a plus
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Trade school or apprenticeship training preferred
