CNC Grinder 2

ABBA Roller is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 – CNC Grinder. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys repetitive work and is comfortable working on their own in a group environment.  Able to understand instructions and comfortable asking questions whenever necessary.  Someone who understands the importance of accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area. 
• Adhere to all quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Communicate production and quality updates to supervisor and complete daily productivity reports as required.
• Achieve daily production goals as required by production supervisor and program manager.
• Adhere to all quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Operate CNC grinding machine to achieve material removal on metallic and rubber products.
• Operate CNC and manual grinding lathe to smooth or polish the surface of metallic and rubber products.
• Load material onto CNC and manual grinding lathes using the proper tools and mechanisms.
• Maintain product specifications by observing grinding operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and replacing worn tools as necessary.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and notifying maintenance for repairs.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by production supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:   

• High School degree or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or with machine experience

DESIRED SKILLS: 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Ability to lift and manipulate 40 lbs.
• Excellent close and distant vision.
• Ability to stand 8 hours plus per workday.
