Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Uses computer-controlled, and/or manually-controlled equipment to select, position, and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion
• Works under the close direction of tenured personnel in the functional area
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job
• Observes while the machine is being repaired by a Technician
• Observes and follows all safety protocols
• Learns the use of precision measuring tools
• Perform daily housekeeping operations in the work area to maintain a safe workplace
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

• 1 year of automation operation experience preferred, not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to promote and work in a highly collaborative environment
• Ability to perform in a medium to fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and squat
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
• Required to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and products
• Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a keyboard and mouse, and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk
• Occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify information

The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the basic functions. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate; however, hearing protection may be required if employees enter high noise areas as a part of their normal job duties.
