What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant position at Sand Spring Learning Center?
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive learning environment
- Assist with mealtime, diapering, and other daily routines
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and must have or obtain a current Physical and TB test
- High school diploma or equivalent, must have or obtain all PA clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal Background History Check, FBI Fingerprints, National Sex Offender Registry Certificate.

Hours:
Afternoon hours Monday through Friday
