Pre-K Assistant Teacher ( Pre K Counts floater/substitute)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. This role involves educating students across various subjects, including literacy, math, and special education,. The Teacher will be responsible for fostering a love for learning in preschool-aged children and implementing effective classroom management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Educate students in key subjects such as literacy, math, and all domains.
• Utilize effective techniques to support individual student needs.
• Assess student progress through observation and assessment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Encourage social and emotional development among students through interactive activities.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Requirements

• CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles.
• Experience in preschool education or early childhood settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with developmental/ educational screenings and assessments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a supportive environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
