ROLE SUMMARY - The Vice President of M&A / Corporate Development will serve as a key internal resource, partnering with Sanctuary advisors and external RIAs to source, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities. We are seeking an individual who can own and lead the deal process end-to-end, with deep experience in deal structuring and due diligence. This role will work closely with senior leadership and act as a primary point of contact for prospective partner firms throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and quarterback the full M&A process from initial evaluation through closing
- Drive deal structuring, including cash/equity mix, earnouts, and forgivable loan frameworks
- Build and refine financial models and valuation analyses, with a focus on risk-adjusted outcomes
- Own the due diligence process, coordinating across legal, financial, and operational workstreams
- Identify key risks and opportunities and translate findings into clear recommendations
- Prepare and present investment memos and deal updates to senior leadership
- Serve as a primary interface with RIA founders and sellers, helping guide them through the transaction
- Support and participate in negotiations, bringing a practical and solutions-oriented approach
- Help manage and prioritize deal pipeline and execution timelines
- Assist with post-close transition and performance tracking
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory in an RIA
- Demonstrated ability to lead deal workstreams and guide transactions from diligence through close
- Strong experience in deal structuring and understanding of risk-sharing mechanisms (earnouts, forgivable loans, etc.)
- Deep familiarity with due diligence processes and ability to identify and assess key risks
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage firm owners and senior stakeholders
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deals
- Strong experience in the wealth management / RIA space
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Located in Omaha, Miami, Indianapolis, Chicago, San Antonio, or New York City – relocation is an option
