Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
• Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing, to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Provide mentorship and support to students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular activities such as library services or tutoring programs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications or specialized training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred.
• Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in various settings, including private schools or early childhood programs.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education strategies, math instruction techniques, and behavior management practices.
• Experience integrating learning technology into daily lessons to support diverse learning styles.
• Familiarity with special education needs, including working with children with autism or participating in early intervention initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and community partners.
• Ability to develop engaging curriculum content through curriculum development expertise and proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills that promote a positive learning environment while maintaining high standards of discipline.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for assessments.
• Passion for mentoring students’ social-emotional growth alongside academic achievement; experience in tutoring or after-school programs is a plus.
