The architect will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, data engineers, report developers, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to deliver high-quality reporting solutions that drive informed decision-making.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with legacy systems (including mainframe environments), and expertise in modern data platforms and reporting tools. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain enterprise reporting data models including fact/dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas, semantic layers, and reporting datasetsDefine and document data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practicesEnsure data models support KPIs, dashboards, operational reporting, and advanced analyticsPartner with enterprise architects and data engineering teams to design efficient ETL/ELT pipelinesTranslate complex business requirements into scalable reporting data structures and workflowsLead scalable data solution designs supporting modernization initiativesCollaborate with reporting teams to standardize metrics, definitions, and calculationsDevelop reusable data assets for BI platforms such as Power BI or similar toolsWork closely with business units and mainframe teams to gather reporting requirementsEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting environmentsEstablish and enforce governance standards including metadata management and documentationSupport compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirementsTroubleshoot complex data issues and provide architectural resolution guidanceMentor report developers and analysts on best practices in data modeling and reporting Required Skills & Experience: 10 years of strong experience in data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema, semantic modeling)6 years of hands-on experience with enterprise reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS)8 years of experience translating business requirements into technical data structures8 years of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)6 years of experience with KPI design, business metrics, and analytical methodologies8 years interpreting data models, data dictionaries, and technical documentation4 years of knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management6 years working in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines2 years of strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills: 3 years familiarity with mainframe systems (IMS, COBOL files, JCL, batch processes)2 years knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to PII and data governance5 years experience in data modernization or legacy-to-modern system migrations
