San Marcos Academy invites applications for an Assistant Boarding Director for the residence halls. This is an excellent position for someone seeking to work in a Christian environment that will allow for professional and spiritual growth. The position involves working with 6th-12th students through the weekends. Schedule consists of two weekends in each month. Beginning at 5 pm Friday until 11 pm Sunday. Except during designated holidays when the dorm is closed.
Responsibilities Include:
• Serve as a role model in actions, language, and dress
• Ministry minded, servant leadership
• Monitoring students
• Responding to any need that arises
• Keeping Dorm Notes when on duty
• Making sure that students stay on schedule with what is set for that weekend
• Documentation
• Ability to counsel and discipline young people
Compensation: Stipend / Campus Housing / Meals while on duty / Some benefits

Requirements
• A Christian testimony
• Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
• Experience working with youth
• Ability to supervise a diverse group of young people
