We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dog Boarding Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will ensure our canine guests feel safe, comfortable, and loved during their stay while you stay with them! We have an apartment in the building where you stay, while boarding the dogs. Could be traded out for rent. Your enthusiasm for animal care, combined with your ability to handle dogs of all temperaments, will create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in pet handling, and customer service will shine.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision for dogs staying in our boarding facility, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with dog activities to promote good behavior and socialization during their stay
• Handle dogs using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff
• Monitor health conditions of boarded dogs and communicate any concerns to veterinary professionals or management
• Maintain detailed records of each dog’s behavior, feeding schedule, medication administration, and special needs
• Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s status and needs

Experience

• Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, pet sitting, or veterinary setting is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and behavioral management strategies
• Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with pet grooming, animal handling, and restraint procedures
• Experience in pet care or animal handling roles that involve heavy lifting and physical activity
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items or animals when necessary
