Are you a multi-skilled individual that can work independently to provide quality health care to patients? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with providers and other nursing staff? If you are a Certified Medical Assistant or currently working on obtaining your Medical Assistant certification, we would love for you to apply for our full-time Certified Medical Assistant position that will provide assistance in the Occupational Medicine Clinic.
Medical Assistant Wage Range: $16.17 - $21.81 / hour
Certified Medical Assistant Wage Range: $17.37 - $24.05 / hour
What You'll Need:
- Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- BLS required.
- Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills
What You'll Do:
- Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
- Update and maintain patient files and medical records
- Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
- Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens
- Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies
- Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space
