Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Previous experience working with groups of children is preferred. Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation from the following list: 1. A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. To schedule a testing appointment please copy and paste this link into your web browser: https://www.sanjuan.edu/Page/44415 OR 2. Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) OR 3. OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR 4. Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher). ***If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
Willingness to be trained in and use non-violent intervention, behavior intervention, and physical restraint techniques.
