Qualifications
Counselor Intern I - Must PRE-QUALIFY by attaching proof of:
- Enrollment in a Masters or higher level degree program leading to a degree in marriage, family and child counseling, marital and family therapy, psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology with an emphasis in marriage, family and child counseling or social work with an emphasis in clinical social work from a school, college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools of Colleges, or an essentially equivalent accrediting agency as determined by the Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiners;
- Coursework completed or in progress in counseling theory and techniques, assessment and treatment planning, legal and ethical issues, child and
And
- Practicum completed or in progress in individual counseling in group counseling and in marriage and family counseling;
- At least one semester of volunteer counseling experience at the White House Counseling Center (recommendation of White House supervisor required).
- Completion of a Master's Degree in marriage, family and child counseling, marital and family therapy, psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, counseling with an emphasis in marriage, family, and child counseling, or social work with an emphasis in clinical social work from a school college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, or an essentially equivalent accrediting agency as determined by the Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiners;
- At least one semester of experience as a Counselor Intern I at the White House Counseling Center;
- Recommendation for advancement by White House Counseling
