What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Technology Department position at San Jose Unified School District?
The impact you will have: The Manager of Technology is an important role in San José Unified. We believe that technology supports and services are crucial to the educational experiences of our students, staff and community. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, strategic planning, and strong collaboration skills. The Manager of Technology must always approach the work with a customer service mindset, be responsive to varying degrees of technical skills across leadership, and have a focus on the utilization and continuous improvement of our systems.
Main areas of focus include:
management and long-term planning for current and future technology solutions that align with district goals, manage and evaluate site technicians and their overall performance for supporting staff and student hardware and systems, support the management of services, systems, and district infrastructur,e provide effective technology support services to stakeholders, build capacities of staff in the implementation of technology support security, systems, and application deployments.
