What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Performing Arts Teacher (TK-5) 2026-2027 position at San José Unified School District?
The impact you will have: As an Elementary Visual and Performing Arts Teacher, you will inspire young learners to explore creativity, self-expression, and collaboration through art, music, dance, and performance. You will design engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that build foundational artistic skills while encouraging imagination and confidence. Through joyful, hands-on experiences and a supportive environment, you will help students discover their unique talents, appreciate the arts, and develop a lifelong love of creative expression while inspiring them to discover their own greatness. - Computer Science
What you will need to apply:
- Resume and letter of introduction outlining your desire and qualifications for this position
- Two (2) letters of reference from prior supervisors
- Transcripts of your undergraduate degree, and graduate degrees if applicable. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application purposes only.
- Single Subject Credential: Visual and Performing Arts, Theatre/Drama, Dance, Art, Music or Computer Science
- Entry of all past employers in the work history section of this application (please see Education Code section 44939.5 - as amended by California AB2534)
