As a Lead Technology Services Coordinator, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and coordinating site-based technology operations to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery
- Supporting, guiding, and mentoring Technology Services Coordinators and site staff in troubleshooting and best practices
- Managing district technology, devices, accessories, and applications at assigned site(s), ensuring proper storage, use, and maintenance
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues (tier-1 and tier-2 support)
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining district-approved technology, including computers, mobile devices, operating systems, and network equipment
- Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and students to support instructional technology and enhance teaching and learning
- Providing training and building staff capacity in the effective use of technology tools and systems
- Coordinating technology setup and support for school events, testing, and special programs
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, and user guides
- Ensuring technology environments are clean, organized, secure, and aligned with district standards
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
What you need for this position:
- Completion of 12th grade or equivalent, or any combination of education, experience, and training that meets the knowledge, skills and abilities describe in the job description
- Resume and Letter of Introduction outlining desire and qualifications for this position
- 2 years of technology work experience
- Valid California Driver's License
- Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) preferred
- MDM certifications preferred (Jamf 100, 200, 300, 400)

SB 848 Child Safety & Employment Disclosure Requirement
Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with California Senate Bill 848 (School Employee Misconduct/Child Abuse Prevention Act), applicants for employment with San José Unified are subject to enhanced child safety, training, and employment disclosure requirements.
Under SB 848, schools are required to strengthen background vetting procedures and obtain employment history information related to allegations of egregious misconduct involving students. Former employers may be contacted to release records regarding substantiated findings of misconduct as permitted by law. Failure to provide complete and accurate information regarding prior educational employment or relevant misconduct findings may result in disqualification from the hiring process or withdrawal of an offer of employment.
SB 848 also expands mandated reporter requirements and requires annual child abuse prevention training for employees and certain volunteers by July 1, 2026. All employees must comply with district-adopted child safety policies, including procedures for supervising and protecting students.
