What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at San Joaquin Kidney Clinic?
We are a large Kidney Clinic located in Stockton,CA We are looking for a full-time Billing Specialist with 1 to 2 years of experience and knowledge of processing Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurance claims. Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT/ICD10 Coding and Payer guidelines.
*This position is in-house and does not allow for remote/telecommuting users*
Essential Functions/Job duties include but not limited to:
Verify medical eligibility; benefit coverage and authorization requirements online or phone.
Prepare, review, and send out billing statements to patients.
Identify and resolves patient billing inquiries and/or discrepancies.
Understands medical terminology, including CPT/ICD10 Coding.
Process Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private health insurances claims.
Research and manage a variety of follow-ups, denials, & unpaid insurance claims.
We are currently looking for Individuals who are friendly, has ability to collaborate in a team environment. Individuals with strong telephone and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
