As the Program Administrator, you will report to the Supervisor of Private and Parochial Services and be a part of the Special Education Services Department.
The Program Administrator will assist in the duties of the Private/Parochial team acting as a LEA representative and assisting in the design, creation, and implementation of services and support for students who are attending Private/Parochial schools, and in accordance with IDEA and California Ed Code.
Essential Duties
The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to the job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive or exhaustive list.
As the Program Administrator, you will:
- Lead routine or complex operational or production-oriented projects requiring knowledge of a specific professional discipline related to Private/Parochial students who qualify for special education.
- Select, train, supervise and evaluate certificated or classified employees
- Lead a team, particularly a diffuse or highly skilled team
- Participate in grant development and/or monitoring of budget
- Facilitate use of data and data strategies
- Provide stakeholder engagement tied directly to the work of the Private/Parochial team
- Supporting audit/reporting responsibilities
- Make autonomous decisions related to design and execution (e.g. workload/ assignments of self and direct reports)
- Collaborate regularly with the special education supervisor of Private/Parochial
- Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication with families, educators, and community partners to support student success and program goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California Administrative Services Credential or eligibility for a California Administrative Services Credential.
- 5 years teaching experience
Desired Qualifications
The strongest candidates will have:
- 2 years of applicable knowledge/experience related to the identification, development and implementation of special education law and services as it relates to private/parochial schools.
