Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal and guidance and direction from the Athletic Director, Substitute Athletic Trainers provide assistance to student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Meets degree requirements needed for certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
- One year of experience providing first aid, preventative and rehabilitative treatment to athletes.
- Valid First Aid and Adult CPR certification from an accredited organization.
- Valid California driver license.

Examination process: Completed applications will be formally evaluated for minimum qualifications. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications then complete a Qualifications Appraisal Interview (scored interview), weight: 100%.
Employment with San Dieguito Union High School District is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance.
The probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer.
