Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal and guidance and direction from the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer provides assistance to student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Meets degree requirements needed for certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.
- One year of experience providing first aid, preventative and rehabilitative treatment to athletes.
- Valid certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.
- Valid First Aid and Adult CPR certification from an accredited organization.
- Valid California driver license.
Length of Work Year / Work Schedule / Hours
11 months (238 days) / 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM* / 40 hours per week
*Please note that the posted work schedule is the anticipated base schedule. Work hours will vary depending on athletic events. Weekend work may be necessary.

The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as dual certification: candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the exams are placed on an eligibility list. The list is ued to fill current and future vacancies for six months.
