This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. The World Language Teacher Pool is for assignments for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are currently in the 2025-2026 World Language Teacher Pool eligibility pool, you must submit a completed application to be considered for a position in the 2026-2027 school year. OVERVIEW: San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is looking for educators who care deeply for students and are committed to the communities in which they serve. POSITION SPECIFICS: The San Diego Unified School District accepts applications for World Language Teachers on a continuous basis for regular full-time and part-time assignments. Candidates who wish to teach French, Japanese, Mandarin, Tagalog, Spanish, American Sign Language or any other world language should apply to this pool. San Diego Unified is looking for world language teachers for elementary immersion, secondary immersion and secondary world language settings. This is a continuous recruitment which will be used to establish an ongoing eligibility list.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This pool is for individuals who: -Hold a valid teaching credential, -Are enrolled in a college/university to attain a teaching credential, -Are intern eligible through their college or university, or -Are eligible for a Short-Term Staffing Permit (STSP) (see CCTC STSP Requirements for eligibility requirements). -Not sure what documents qualify you for this position?
