Job Summary

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Project Resource Teacher assigned to support Early Learning. This opportunity is open to current San Diego Unified Permanent and Probationary Teachers. The 11-month California State Preschool Program (CSPP) Resource Teacher provides instructional, programmatic, and compliance support to California State Preschool Program (CSPP) classrooms and staff. This position serves as a resource to teachers, site administrators, and support staff to ensure high-quality implementation of preschool programs aligned with state requirements and district expectations.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: Direct experience working in a California State Preschool Program (CSPP) as a teacher, site administrator, or program administrator. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of CSPP requirements, California Department of Education regulations, Community Care Licensing requirements, and developmentally appropriate practices for preschool-aged children. Candidates must also demonstrate experience providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development to teachers and support staff. Experience facilitating adult learning, supporting curriculum implementation, and guiding staff in the use of child assessment tools, such as the DRDP, is highly desirable. Additional required experience includes planning and implementing family engagement activities and events; supporting inclusive early learning environments; monitoring program quality and compliance; analyzing program and assessment data; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for young children and families. Licenses and Other Requirements: Applicants must hold one of the following valid California Education Permits.
