SUMMARY
San Diego Theatres seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and communications while working for a nonprofit that delivers exceptional performing arts experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and curate engaging content
- Draft, distribute, and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories
- Effectively utilize San Diego Theatres social media and blog
- Build and update media lists
- Assist in event marketing and promotions
- Perform research and data and market analysis activities
- Assist in developing community outreach and engagement
EXPERIENCE
Completed or working toward a college degree in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS

- Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office equipment.
- Must have your own computer and an internet connection, when working remotely
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to think and act proactively.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and successfully.
