PART TIME Dog Waste Removal Technician / Pooper Scooper

San Diego Scoop Squad is hiring a PART-TIME dog waste removal technician / professional dog poop scooper for 20-30 hours per week.

We provide professional dog waste removal services to residential and commercial clients, ensuring their yards stay clean and enjoyable. AKA – You will be cleaning up dog poop!

MUST LOVE DOGS!

Pay: $21 per hour plus mileage reimbursement (miles driven between yards serviced)

MUST: be available to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (4-5 hours each day)

MUST HAVE: Reliable vehicle, Valid Drivers license & Smartphone

MUST BE RELIABLE! We take what we do very serious! Which is why we have 160 five star reviews from happy clients. We provide a weekly service to our clients and they rely on us to show up each and every week so we need reliable, dedicated people to add to our team.

Travel/Routes: We service different areas of San Diego county each day. You must be okay with driving to different areas of San Diego on different days. We travel as far north as Oceanside/San Marcos and as South as Chula Vista/El Cajon and everywhere in between.

This is a Physical Labor Job:

Cleaning up dog poop from one yard can be a simple task for most but what we do is not an "easy job". This is a physical labor job. If walking on all types of terrain including rocks and inclines, walking at a moderate pace for up to 30 minutes at a time/ 10k steps per day, gripping tools, bending, squatting, and repetitive motions like looking down, carrying a 10 lb bucket in one hand and scooping waste using rake in other hand, as well as carrying bags of waste which can get heavy, repeatedly throughout the day sounds too physically demanding this is probably not the job for you.

You will also be using your smart phone to use our client portal app to complete jobs and to communicate with clients.

What We’re Looking For:

Dog Lovers – If you love being around dogs and are comfortable around dogs of all sizes and breeds - this is the job for you. Spotless

Driving Record – We drive a lot, so safety is key.

Self-Starter – This is a very independent, non-micromanaged position. You must be a motivated self-starter and be able to start your route on time each shift, work efficiently to get your yards done and know when to problem-solve within your limits & knowledge, knowing that your team is a text or phone call away to help whenever necessary.

Reliable & Hardworking – We provide a weekly service that our clients depend on. If you join our team we are trusting that you will be reliable for each shift. (Start time: between 8-10AM).

Physically Capable – Must be able to carry & lift up to 25 lbs.; walk 5k-10k steps per day; bend, squat and endure repetitive motions with arms, hands and wrists as well as navigate different yard terrains (rocks, grass, gravel, slopes, patios, etc.).

All-Weather Worker – Heat, rain or shine, we scoop as long as it’s safe. Detail-Oriented &

Hard Working – We follow specific safety protocols and never leave a poop pile behind! Some yards require more work than others, so you can’t be afraid to do what it takes to get the job done right!

Outgoing & Customer-Focused – Comfortable engaging with current clients by providing friendly communication and excellent customer service. Must also be comfortable promoting our services to potential customers that pass by.
