Job Description
Hot Dog on a Leash is looking for a reliable, dog-loving individual to join our team as a Part-Time Doggie Daycare Attendant.
We are currently hiring for the following schedule:
- Option 1: Tuesdays & Thursdays (7:45 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Option 2: Fridays (7:45 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Preferred: One candidate available for all three days (Tues/Thurs/Fri)
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with dogs in a structured, supervised environment and is comfortable handling multiple dogs at once.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs in a daycare setting
- Maintain a safe, calm, and controlled play environment
- Monitor dog behavior and prevent unsafe interactions
- Assist with basic cleaning (kennels, play areas, waste cleanup)
- Help with dog handling during drop-off and pick-up
- Follow staff instructions and maintain daily routines
- Ensure dogs are safe, engaged, and well cared for
Requirements
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must genuinely love working with dogs
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Able to stay attentive and active throughout the shift
- Previous dog handling experience is a plus (not required)
- Must be able to work independently and follow directions
Pay & Details
- $17.50/hour
- Paid weekly (every Friday)
- This is a 1099 position (no taxes withheld)
