Registered Dental Assistant Job Description
We have an opening in our office for a long-term Registered Dental Assistant must have minimum of 5-7 yrs experience with X-Ray license is a must. We are located in beautiful San Clemente California. Dr. Johnson has been taking great care of our patients for over 15 years at this location. We strive on being the best and providing a positive welcoming environment for our patients and our staff. We are looking for a friendly, experienced, confident, outgoing, positive team player that possess excellent organization skills, attention to detail, clinical skills, leadership skills, and makes sure all our patients get the best possible care. We are a small but very busy office with three hygienists and two dentists for general dentistry. We need a registered dental assistant that can be confident in their work and takes great care of our patients with a friendly attitude.
PAY: Pay Rate $28 per hour
Hours Monday-Thursday 7:30AM-5:30PM

Job Requirements:
RDA license required
X-ray certified required
Current CPR Certification
Knowledgeable on Dental Software
Responsibilities
- Welcome all patients in the dental office.
- Review Patient charts and medical history.
- Entering treatment plans with doctor.
- Perform all RDA required function.
- Friendly chair-side manner, and confidence.
- Follow OSHA requirements.
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring they are comfortable.
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for procedures.
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
- Assist Hygienists with charting, occasionally with new patients we have implemented AI to our office.
- Take Digital X-ray's for patients. "Dexis"
- Must be a team player, friendly and dedicated to the success of the practice.
- Assist dentists through 4-handed dentistry.
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
- Take PVS impressions and digital scans with IMedit scanner.
- Check-in Lab cases according to patient appointments.
- Check patient clear aligner cases online.
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Assisting with fillings, crowns, implants, etc.
- Communicate patient needs with the front office.
