What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Executive Mentee position at San Carlos Healthcare Corporation?
For members of the San Carlos Apache Tribe:
The Healthcare Executive Mentee is an intensive multi-year training program offered to selected qualified San Carlos Apache Tribal Members. This will provide the opportunity to acquire the necessary field experience, behavioral attributes, and knowledge in a comprehensive program. Through direct exposure to and active participation in a variety of administrative activities and training rotation throughout the SCAHC system, including off-campus shadowing of personnel in selected “best practice” entities, and attendance at workshops and seminars
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supports institutional vision, leadership and strategy for achievement of overall mission by advocating to all appropriate stakeholders
- Assists in developing a master strategic plan to address all requirements of SCAHC including, but not limited to: financial systems, infrastructure, programs and/or services, growth and expansions by anticipating and forecasting community needs
- Assists in establishing overall standards, policies and objectives for financial and administrative operations in accordance with applicable regulatory and licensing requirements and alignment with overall mission, goals and objectives
- Reviews financial performance of the organization, shares information to facilitate understanding and support of hospital programs, initiatives and services
- Actively participates in a variety of community, local, regional and national activities to enhance awareness and recognition of the organization
- Actively participates in development, review and evaluation of decisions effecting policies and procedures, program planning and integration of hospital goals and objectives
- Assists in monitoring quality management and process improvement activities by integrating best practice concepts and initiatives
- Acts as liaison to staff and hospital management to facilitate involvement in planning and operations as appropriate
- Continually advocates and communicates mission, values and strategic plan to facilitate planning efforts by the organization by focusing on effective translation of strategy into operational objectives with specific measurable goals and deliverables
- Participates in a variety of reports and studies involving complex analysis, organizational and administrative initiatives.
- Analyzes financial and operational details of past, present, and expected activities in order to identify development opportunities.
- Develops knowledge of federal, licensing and tribal policies and directives.
- Develops and supervises staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards
