What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHR Informatics & Training Analyst position at San Carlos Healthcare Corporation?
Maintains a working knowledge of clinical workflows for providers and support staff, and delivers responsive support for the tools and systems used to carry out those workflows. Monitors and recommend improvements to the organization’s software, hardware, and business systems; performs complex administrative work in planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs to providers and clinical support staff. Supports ongoing evaluation and enhancement of the organization's operational procedures, contributing recommendations that improve efficiency, quality, and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serves as the liaison between Information Technology and providers and clinical support staff, ensuring that IT is working effectively in support of providers and is enabling them to provide excellent patient care.
- Onboards new providers and clinical support staff, training them on SCAHC applications and provides support until providers and clinical support staff are confident in use of applications.
- Provides specialized training for providers, develops curriculum and provide training; maintains training records of employee participation.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Informaticist to ensure clinical documentation changes improve workflow efficiency for providers while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety.
- Provides technical support and diagnoses issues with SCAHC applications used by providers and clinical support staff, works with necessary staff to resolve issues.
- Participates in all clinical content modification efforts, ensuring stakeholders sign off on changes and that changes do not impact existing build or compromise clinical data integrity.
- Proactively engage with providers and clinical support staff on new technology enhancements and innovations, building awareness of new functionality and improved works and collaborating on new technologies that may improve user satisfaction.
- Creates and maintains documentation of all training courses presented and ensure compliance with all training requirements.
- Works with clinical departments to identify and troubleshoot issues within clinical applications and ensures downtime documentation and readiness plans remain current and compliant.
- Partners with software vendors and IT leadership to design, build, and continuously update training curriculum for all providers.
- Available to provide technical support outside standard business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, through participation in an on-call rotation.
