Job Summary
Job Summary
The Special Education Teacher provides individualized education programs to students. The teacher is responsible for developing, implementing, and relating the daily activities of the students to the core curriculum. Through continuous collaboration with a variety of individuals and groups, including parents, district and county personnel and various agencies, the Teacher provides for the academic, social and emotional growth of each student by using a variety of instructional strategies. The Teacher continually assesses each student’s progress to maximize their fullest potential. For the current assignment, the Special Education Teacher is responsible for using a variety of assessment tools, developing, and implementing IEP’S and transition planning as children move to kindergarten programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Possession of a Valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service to students in early childhood special education or documentation proving qualifications to obtain the authorization.
NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join online application (all fields must be filled in); • Current resume; • Copy of valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service to students in early childhood special education or documentation demonstrating ability to obtain the authorization; • Minimum of one (1) current letter of reference (dated and signed within three years). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and provide all necessary materials online by the deadline date for further consideration. A copy of a valid California Driver’s License is required prior to start of employment.
