Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in keeping the Dade City branch running smoothly, securely, and in compliance—so members receive consistent, accurate service. This onsite, full-time role is scheduled Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends.

Key responsibilities include supervising daily branch operations; responding to routine-to-complex staff questions on policies, procedures, and regulations; coaching and mentoring team performance; supporting branch security and opening/closing activities; reinforcing cash-handling accuracy; and serving as acting Branch Manager when needed.

Required knowledge and skills:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of credit union products and ownership
- Strong verbal/written communication and telephone etiquette
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
- Accurate cash handling; proficient typing and calculator skills
- Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

You’ll start by reviewing the day’s staffing coverage, priorities, and any overnight updates, then connect briefly with the Branch Manager to align on service and operational focus. Throughout the day, you move between the lobby and back-office tasks—answering escalated questions, checking that documentation is complete, and monitoring workflow to keep the pace steady.

You’ll pause for quick coaching moments, reinforce consistent member interactions, and verify that security routines and balancing checkpoints are followed. When the Branch Manager is out, you become the point of continuity for decisions and communication. The day closes with a final review of end-of-day readiness so the next morning starts organized and on track.
