Position SummaryThe Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for analyzing, improving, and coordination logistics operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain performance. This role exercises independent judgment in resolving operational issues, leading process improvement initiatives, and supporting management decision-making through data-driven analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze inbound, outbound, inventory, and transportation operations to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunitiesMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost performanceLead and support process improvement initiatives, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Serve as a primary point of contact for operational issues, coordinating with internal teams, customers, carriers, and third-party logistics providersConduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for service failures, delays, damages, or inventory discrepanciesSupport management decision-making by providing operational analysis, reports, and recommendationsEnsure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and customer requirements (e.g., OSHA, DOT, customer standards)Participate in or lead projects related to system enhancements, new customer onboarding, process optimization, or network changesProvide guidance and functional support to junior staff and associates without direct supervisory responsibilityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience7-10 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgmentExperience working with WMS/TMS systems and operational dataPreferred SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsStrong cross-functional communication and coordination skillsExperience developing and implementing SOPs and process improvementsKnowledge of logistics compliance and safety regulationsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
