Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Ensures the continuous movement of product through hand-Stacking, discharging, packaging and the storage of finished parts.
- Safely moves material with the use of a forklift/tow motor from the line to the hold/staging area.
- Works in co-operation with the Operator and Shift Supervisor and references set-up procedures to ensure material is safely loaded onto production equipment.
- Uses forklift/tow motor to move scrap to designated dumpster area.
- Operates bundle turner / pac-man when parts require to be flipped.
- Prepares packaging in advance.
- Carries out set-up duties as instructed by Operator
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
General
- Complies with the designated IATF16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.
- Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as always required
- Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards
- Strives for continuous improvement
Position Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year or less of job-related experience.
- Certified in operation of Lift Trucks required.
- Certified in operation of Overhead Crane, preferred.
