As a Shipper/Receiver, you will ensure timely and accurate entry of all inventory, prepare and distribute shipping / receiving paperwork, along with other administrative duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage drivers and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Receive and ensure accuracy of incoming material into the computer system
• Prepare & ensure accuracy of shipping documents such as bill of ladings, loading plans, and material test reports.
• Distribute incoming I outgoing shipping paperwork and tags to shop coordinators and drivers
• Communicate with other departments to resolve issues with deliveries
• Sign off on and ensure proper signatures of satisfactory deliveries
• Load trucks and support the shop with material handling needs
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Scan shipping / receiving documents into system
• Scan bundle tags to ensure proper material is loaded on trucks
• Communicate changes to operations and logistics teams
• Assist managers as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient computer, data entry, and internet skills, primarily Windows OS & MS Office Suite
• Basic math skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
• Previous experience in data entry, receiving, or the steel industry a plus
• You will be properly trained in anything you aren't proficient in

“The base hourly pay range for this position is $21.54-26.32.  If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.  In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.  Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role.  Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.”
