ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators and sales professionals across multiple locations.
- Establish performance goals, conduct reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Direct and participate in developing, motivating, and training an effective sales force.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and professional growth within the team.
Strategic Sales & Marketing
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Analyze market trends and competitive products to recommend changes in sales techniques, staffing, and regional strategies.
- Develop promotional materials including brochures, videos, and mailings.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Communicate directly with customers to understand needs, develop specifications, and promote Samuel’s products and services.
- Conduct sales visits and represent the company at tradeshows and industry events.
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to manage and grow key accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction.
Estimating & Project Oversight
- Analyze RFQs to determine specifications, manufacturing methods, and delivery requirements.
- Oversee cost estimation for labor, materials, subcontracting, and logistics.
- Review and approve quotations to ensure accuracy, profitability, and alignment with customer expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Serve as a liaison between Sales and internal teams to address customer needs and drive operational efficiency.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop forecasts, resolve procedural issues, and analyze sales data.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for policy improvements and budget planning.
- Supervise the maintenance of records and ensure accurate reporting of sales activities.
Compliance & ITAR Responsibilities
- Adhere to ITAR standards and safeguard sensitive information.
- Immediately report any suspected unauthorized disclosure of protected ITAR content to appropriate channels.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum two-year technical degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of team development and sales performance.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding technical specifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts; ASME Code familiarity is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and inspire.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
