Position Summary:
The Operations Intern will support daily warehouse and operational activities, focusing on safety, inventory control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This hands-on internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager with daily tasks and operational support.
- Perform cycle counts of warehouse supplies and coordinate re-ordering processes.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Audit and update Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s).
- Support customer order fulfillment processes.
- Assist with site-wide safety audits and inspections.
- Complete Safety Sling, Fire Extinguisher, and Emergency Light inspections.
- Help maintain facility recycling initiatives.
- Participate in 5S and other organizational improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
