About the Opportunity
A leading organization in the mission critical infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to support the development and execution of large-scale data center projects in Lubbock, Texas. This individual will play a key role in overseeing construction, commissioning, and cross-functional coordination for complex mission critical environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated project management professional with experience delivering hyperscale or enterprise data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of data center construction projects from pre-construction through turnover and closeout
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and reporting
- Monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance across all project phases
- Support commissioning and startup activities for critical infrastructure systems including:
- Electrical distribution systems
- Mechanical/HVAC systems
- EPMS systems
- Controls and automation systems
- Low voltage and network infrastructure
- Lead project meetings, track action items, and drive issue resolution
- Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Ensure all work aligns with project specifications, operational requirements, and industry standards
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support successful handover and operational readiness
- Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5 years of project management experience within data centers, mission critical facilities, or large-scale industrial construction environments
- Strong understanding of mission critical infrastructure systems and construction processes
- Experience managing complex projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and critical systems integration
- Familiarity with EPMS and controls systems strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced project schedules
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience
- Hyperscale or enterprise data center experience
- Experience working with commissioning teams and turnover processes
- Knowledge of critical environment safety standards and best practices
- Experience supporting large-scale greenfield developments
